To enhance transparency, the law should be amended to ensure that all campaign related incomes and expenditures, including those incurred by public associations affiliated with contestants, are incurred via electoral funds from the call of elections. Consideration could be given to introducing limits to the use of own funds by parties and candidates. Parliament should safeguard the public broadcaster’s editorial independence by providing it with sufficient funding and granting it full financial autonomy.
